in a past life i was a buffalo

birthed from mother earth

she was red.

why start a blog? well, life is an amazing journey worth documenting! i have worn many moccasins. some beaded, some not. some long, some short. all mine, but all have served a different purpose. each pair of moccasins has provided me with the foundation needed to embrace the living and spirit world. they have made me who i am today and they will take me further. you will get to learn all about these moccasins as the posts multiply!

i consider myself a hip-hop feminist born of struggle and what does not break me will only make me stronger! i live my life with a 'by any means necessary' mentality. i am grounded and sowed in my culture and my community. if its not for the community than its not for me! a student of pan-africanism. lakota. a descendant of the buffalo. a transnational spirit. this is my epistemology and the framework for most of my posts.

this is my attempt to transcribe my visions to key strokes to blogs posts. some days you will get personal letters that express my views on current events, politics, society, economics, and real life shit. other days i will post new music and some oldies, but goodies! news articles, film reviews, music reviews, events, informative lectures, book reviews, etc. will also bless my page.
